Alternative Response Program

Specific Services

At all times, ensuring child safety is HCI’s highest priority.  Case management is provided by HCI trained staff to:

  • Help make positive changes in family functioning for all participating family members
  • Advocate for child and family safety
  • Provide supported referrals to community resources
  • Assist in finding financial resources to help meet the safety needs of children and their families.
To ensure that the needs of families are met in the least restrictive manner, services are:
  • Delivered in client homes
  • Short term - up to four months in duration (extensions allowed with DHHS approval)
  • Provided by licensed social workers
  • Require adult family member participation
  • Involve collaboration with DHHS
